New: Hunt's Children's Book Club
A way for children to get involved in reading and the world of books!
We are very excited to be part of Hunt's Children's Book Club, a book club which combines storytelling, half-termly book recommendations and the opportunity for young people to express their thoughts and feelings about books through discussions and written reviews. The aim is to introduce young people to a diverse and exciting range of new titles, whilst providing support for parents to work towards reading goals with their children.
How the Book Club works:
Each half term, Hunt's will select a book for each year group to read as part of the book club and children will be part of a storytelling sessions at school where they will hear an extract of their book read aloud to them. The option will then be available for parents to purchase the book for their child via Hunt's Bookshop, which will then be delivered to school. Children will receive a rewards card to collect stickers for each book that they complete as part of our club, with a certificate and other rewards available upon completion of their card. Children will also be given the opportunity to send us their reviews of the books and will be in with a chance of winning gift vouchers and being featured on our website, social media or in our shop window!
